The island of Oahu is known for offering a broad range adventure travel experiences, it is also the most culturally diverse of the Hawaiian Islands. Known as "The Gathering Place", Oahu has historically been a focal point of life in Hawaii. Oahu is the third largest of the Hawaiian islands, and home to Honolulu Hawaii's capital and the largest city on Oahu.
The City and County of Honolulu operates a first class public transportation system, which makes easy work of getting around the island. Honolulu International Airport has more flights coming and going than any other airport in the islands. With several airlines, and the Hawaii Super Ferry, all providing daily inter-island transportation, it is almost as effortless to travel to the neighbor islands. You can even take day tours to Maui, Big Island, Lanai, Molokai and Kauai that will have you back to Oahu in time for dinner.
